British Maximalist Millinery & Quirky Accessories

In a world that wants us to conform, the mission of Pearls & Swine is to create bespoke millinery & maximalist accessories you never knew you wanted,
saw or dreamed of. 
In fact, it is important to me to create unique, colourful accessories that I, myself, never dreamed of.
I NEED to be surprised... I need to be excited... I have ADHD. This means I am a dopamine chaser! Novelty is what motivates me. 

How I create:
Making safe mainstream accessories might make me richer but it would never make me happy. I don't pre-draw my accessory or millinery designs because I am very tactile and visual... my process requires trial & error. I like to be surprised by the end result. When things aren't going to plan my brain enjoys finding a way around a challenge. 

Why I create:
I create for me and hope what I make will resonate with someone out there. Another quirky human who enjoys colour, maximalism, and making a statement in their outfit. 
The reason I love accessories is I am a fattie, I have always been a fattie... I couldn't just go to any shop to buy an outfit, since most shops don't cater to plus-sized people.
However, I could always look at & buy fashion accessories! 

How Pearls & Swine was born:
So when my world stopped turning, and my life crumbled into a million tiny pieces, I turned to what gave me joy: Fashion Accessories!
As I created, while in the darkest dark I have ever known, I guess, I slowly healed... glued back together with glitter, kittens, colour & pop surreal art.
Accessories gave me a reason to get up in the morning, I guess I owe it all to accessories.

Pearls & Swine was born out of heartbreak, coupled with unresolved childhood trauma and a complete love of statement fashion accessories. It became my everything, I guess I'm just lucky it continues to feed my dopamine need all these years later!
